چکیده
Hershberger, J., M. Rauch and S. Suri, Data structures for two-edge connectivity in planar graphs, Theoretical Computer Science 130 (1994) 139-161. We present a data structure for maintaining 2-edge connectivity information dynamically in an embedded planar graph. The data structure requires linear storage and preprocessing time for its construction, supports online updates (deletion of an edge or insertion of an edge consistent with the embedding) in O(log2n) time, and answers a query (whether two vertices are in the same 2edge-connected component) in O(logn) time. The previous best algorithm for this problem requires O(logs n) time for updates.

Let $G$ be a connected graph of order $n$ and minimum degree $delta(G)$.The edge-connectivity $lambda(G)$ of $G$ is the minimum numberof edges whose removal renders $G$ disconnected. It is well-known that$lambda(G) leq delta(G)$,and if $lambda(G)=delta(G)$, then$G$ is said to be maximally edge-connected. A classical resultby Chartrand gives the sufficient condition $delta(G) geq frac{n-1}{2}$fo...

We consider the problem of maintaining a dynamic planar graph subject to edge insertions and edge deletions that preserve planarity but that can change the embedding. We describe algorithms and data structures for maintaining information about 2and 3-vertex-connectivity, and 3and 4-edge-connectivity in a planar graph in O(n1/2) amortized time per insertion, deletion, or connectivity query. All ...

Let $G$ be a connected graph with minimum degree $delta$ and edge-connectivity $lambda$. A graph ismaximally edge-connected if $lambda=delta$, and it is super-edge-connected if every minimum edge-cut istrivial; that is, if every minimum edge-cut consists of edges incident with a vertex of minimum degree. In this paper, we show that a connected graph or a connected triangle-free graph is maximall...
متن کاملIncidence cuts and connectivity in fuzzy incidence graphs
Fuzzy incidence graphs can be used as models for nondeterministic interconnection networks having extra node-edgerelationships. For example, ramps in a highway system may be modeled as a fuzzy incidence graph so that unexpectedflow between cities and highways can be effectively studied and controlled. Like node and edge connectivity in graphs, node connectivity and arc connectivity in fuzzy inci...
متن کاملSuccinct representations of planar maps
This paper addresses the problem of representing the connectivity information of geometric objects using as little memory as possible. As opposed to raw compression issues, the focus is here on designing data structures that preserve the possibility of answering incidence queries in constant time. We propose in particular the first optimal representations for 3-connected planar graphs and trian...
